Caring for health and wellbeing
We’re promoting physical and mental health through our network of Wellbeing Walks; offering free health checks in the community; tackling loneliness and inclusion through Community Cuppas & Community Support Groups and addressing food insecurity by supporting local foodbanks…
Wellbeing Walks
We support a network of over 78 free Wellbeing Walks across Lincolnshire and Newark. All the walks are run by an amazing team of volunteer walk leaders and come under the umbrella of the national Ramblers Wellbeing Walks scheme.
The walks can help boost your physical health, but you can gain so much more; meeting new friends, learning about your local area and improving your mental health.

Community Cuppa
Our Community Cuppas aim to build connections between people and their communities, helping tackle loneliness and social isolation.
They’re free to attend and open to anyone who would like to come along to meet people, find out about things happening in the local area and most importantly, have a slice of cake and a cuppa!

Health Pod
Our community health pod could be coming to a location near you! For 2024, we're gearing up to take our pop-up health pod into the heart of our communities and enable people to access our FREE health services.
At our health pods you'll be able to take advantage of a free health check and advice provided by our pharmacy and community teams. The services that we provide include:
- Height and Weight measurements
- A detailed Body Mass Analysis (BMA) and result explanation
- Blood Pressure testing
- Blood Sugar testing
- Info about our Wellbeing Walks scheme and other pharmacy services
For more information on the full range of services that our pharmacy teams can provide, please consult a member of staff on the day.
Foodbanks
Unfortunately, there is a high demand for food banks that provide essential services for those facing food poverty. All our food stores act as collection points for their local food bank or community larder. The collection point in-store will provide details of the local foodbank and the items they’re wanting help with – as a guide, donations of items like tinned meat, tinned fruit, cereals, tea & coffee and toiletries are always welcome.
If you have a few spare pennies, then why not pick up a couple of extra items next time you shop and drop them at the collection point?
If you have any questions then please contact the Community team on 01522 544632 or email community@lincolnshire.coop

Sanitary and Toiletries collection
Unfortunately, some of the most vulnerable people in society lack access to basic hygiene products, so to help we’re collecting sanitary and toiletries items in our pharmacies and donating them to local groups such as hygiene banks, domestic abuse services, homelessness charities and food banks.
