Boston Pioneers Academy Breakfast Club
Breakfast clubs provide a safe, secure environment before school, where children can socialise with friends. Regardless of a child’s financial background or home life, these clubs ensure students can have a substantial breakfast before lessons begin.
Boston Pioneers Academy breakfast club benefited from funds during our breakfast clubs Community Champions quarter in 2019, headteacher Miss. J. Bland said “The generous Community Champions funding has had a significant impact on our students. It has positively transformed their everyday experience by setting them up for a successful day.
“Our breakfast club has addressed a critical need within our school community, many of our children have previously arrived at school without having had a nutritious breakfast which affects their ability to concentrate and engage effectively in their learning. The funding has enabled us to maintain a warm and welcoming space where students have the opportunity to start their day with a wholesome breakfast, which has had an immediate impact on their overall wellbeing and readiness to learn.
“The breakfast club has formed a sense of community and belonging amongst our pupils, where they now have a dedicated space to come together before classes begin, interact with their peers, and build positive relationships with staff members, which improves their social skills and helps boost self-esteem and confidence. We are so grateful for the funding and support to our school.”
