Food bank advent calendar
Every year, throughout December, we invite people to donate a different item to their local food bank every day from 1st - 24th December by popping items in the collection bins in our food stores.

This year we'll be encouraging colleagues, members and customers to #GiveALittleSomething this Christmas 🎁 and donate items of food and other essentials to their local food banks.
Food banks provide vital support for people who are having a hard time. That's why throughout December 2023 we'll be supporting them by promoting a Food Bank Advent Calendar.
We're inviting people to donate a different item to their local food bank every day from 1st - 24th December 2023 by popping items in the collection bins in our food stores.
You can also create your own collection box at home, work or school and build up your advent calendar items. This can then be delivered directly to your local food bank in the new year – when they may struggle for donations after the Christmas surge.
Did you know you can also donate dividend or money at the checkout? You can do this from Day 1 of the advent calendar or throughout the whole of December, just let our colleagues at the till know how much you’d like to donate, and they'll add it to your shopping.
We know not everyone is able to make a donation at this time, but there are other ways you can support. Even just sharing the advent calendar will be a huge help and if you have time to spare, why not volunteer to help your local food bank at one of their busiest times of the year?
