Why choose a direct cremation?

It's a way of saying goodbye in your own way, so although there's no funeral service beforehand and mourners aren't present at the cremation, you can still celebrate the life of a loved one, but in a way that works for you.

What's included in an direct cremation

  • Taking care of all necessary legal and administrative arrangements
  • Collection and transportation of your loved one from the place of death* who has died into our care
  • Care of your loved one before the funeral at a local funeral home
  • Dressing your loved one in a simple gown
  • Transport of the person who has died on the day of the cremation
  • Cremation fees
  • Our basic veneer coffin

Restrictions & limitations

  • You're not able to attend the service. If you would like to learn more about an attended funeral click here.
  • No choice of date, time or location of the cremation
  • No viewing of your loved one. If you would like this as an option, this can be added for an additional charge of £100.**
  • Arrangements will take place during normal office hours

* Within a 20 mile radius of our funeral home. Where a longer journey than 15 miles is needed, it's an additional £2 per mile.

** You will be respectfully invited to see your loved one in our chapel of rest over a two-day period during normal office hours by appointment only.
