Direct cremation funeral plan
Prices from £1,594*
Our Direct Plan, or Direct Cremation Plan, is a no-service funeral; it’s an affordable, fuss-free alternative to a traditional funeral. We bring someone into our care and provide a simple, unattended cremation.
How does a direct plan differ from a traditional funeral plan?
A traditional funeral includes a service with loved ones in attendance.
An unattended funeral has no service and no-one in attendance.
Why might you choose a direct plan?
• You do not desire a traditional, formal service
• You have financial constraints or do not wish to burden loved ones financially
• You prefer a more affordable option
• So your loved ones can celebrate your life in their own way
Why choose a direct plan with us?
• You would like to stay local, in our care
• Members receive 1% funeral cashback, on our funeral directors’ charges.**
• There are options that can be added so it is more traditional. For example, an unattended funeral with the option to view the deceased, choice of final dress, or the time and date of the cremation made known to the family.
• We are experts in your local community, providing outstanding levels of care.
• Our knowledge means that we can help make the right decision for you.
• We support your loved ones when the time comes.
**Members’ cashback – Terms and conditions apply to this offer – available here.
1% cashback paid per new funeral plan (applied to funeral directors costs only and excludes the administration and third party/disbursement fees), available to Lincolnshire Co-op members only who are aged 18 and over. Customers who pay in full at the time of purchase will receive their cashback after the 30-day cooling-off period, or after the 12th monthly payment for instalment customers, provided the plan has not been cancelled. This offer cannot be used with any other funeral directors, offers or promotions. For information about membership visit lincolnshire.coop/memberbenefits.
Saying goodbye in a different way
Because an unattended funeral does not include a traditional service, families can choose to hold a separate memorial or scattering ceremony at a place that is meaningful to them.
The event is not time-bound and can happen when the family are ready, but often happens once the ashes have been returned. Our funeral directors can help you with these alternative arrangements.
Talk to your loved ones
A direct plan might be the obvious choice, but your family might be expecting the opportunity to come together to grieve and say goodbye at a funeral service.
Talking to loved ones about your decision is key and can avoid further worry when you’re gone. If your wishes are known and understood, then they can be respected, or discussed openly.
