Autumn leaf lights
It's getting dark outside a lot earlier now, so why not make these super easy autumn leaf lights? They look lovely dotted around the house and glow just like the autumn leaves on the trees.
What you'll need:
- Colourful leaves from the garden - or why not take a nice fresh walk with your family this weekend and pick some up -make sure they're pretty clean
- uPVC glue - or any glue that is clear in colour
- Battery operated tealights
- Empty and clean jars
What to do:
- Make sure your jars are nice and clean and dry.
- Flatten your leaves as best as your can and pop a little bit of glue on the centre of them.
- Stick the leaves to the inside of your jar - you might need to pop a little more glue on them if the edges are starting to curl up. You don't need to cover the jars completely, just enough leaves so the light shines through them.
- Leave everything to dry
- Pop a battery operated tealight inside the jar and switch it on
That's it - super easy, super simple, yet brings a lovely glow to your room. Why not try it with different shaped leaves and colours?
