Paper windmills
We're not big fans of windy weather but we think you'll be blown away with these super easy to make paper windmills 💨
Check out how to make your own here:
What you'll need:
- Square paper 🗒
- Colouring pens if you want to make your own designs 🎨
- A pencil with a rubber on the top OR a straw ✏
- A small drawing pin 📍
- Scissors ✂
- Glue (optional)
What to do:
- Firstly make sure your paper is square - cut it to shape if needed.
- To create a two-colour windmill like ours, we glued two pieces of coloured paper together
- Carefully and gently fold the corners of your square paper into the middle to create a faint crease
- Using your scissors, cut from the four edges in towards the middle but make sure you stop before reaching the middle
- Fold each edge into the middle
- Using your drawing pin, pierce this carefully through the middle of all the folded edges to hold them in place
- Take your pencil/straw and very carefully push the end of the drawing pin through the rubber at the top
- If some of the sharp pin is sticking out the other side of your rubber, you can snip this off with scissors or bend it round so you don't catch your hands on it
- Your windmill is ready to spin!
