Support for Ukraine
Thank you so much for all your support, this appeal has now closed.
We’re supporting the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal with a £10,000 donation. The appeal is working to support refugees by providing food, water, medical assistance, protection, and trauma care in Ukraine and surrounding countries.
If you want to get involved, you can make a £10 donation by texting COOP to 70150. Texts to this number will cost £10 plus your standard network rate. You can also donate online at DEC.org.uk, or in person at one of our post offices.
We're also supporting a collection which is gathering essentials for those displaced by the crisis in Ukraine. We've been overwhelmed by your kindness - thank you for all your donations.
The collection has been organised by the Polish School, Lincoln. The ongoing situation in Ukraine has prompted many citizens to flee their homes, seeking safety in neighboring countries - Romania, Hungary, and predominately, Poland.
The products requested to support the Ukrainian people include toiletries and nappies, sleeping bags and blankets, first aid supplies, and more. See the full list at the bottom of the page.
All the items collected are to be transported to Poland and distributed by Fundacja Ermed, a charity working on the ground supporting Ukrainians.
Donation points have been set up at all Lincolnshire Co-op pharmacies, click here to find your nearest store.
We have already had a huge amount of donations which are being stored at our pharmacy warehouse and then transported to units lent to the Polish School, including one in the St Mark's Shopping Centre in Lincoln. Pictured above are our Community and Maintenance Teams unloading and sorting just some of the donations.
The donations have started arriving in Poland too - below is a picture of a load from Lincoln arriving at Fundacja Ermed.
